Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16 1984, in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and popular comedians. She appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March, 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her professional career as a stand-up comedian in 2011, after playing a few small roles she appeared in Irish and British TV dramas beginning in 2009. She was already regularly appearing on sketch comedy shows as well as sitcoms. Following her win at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for different panel shows, where she was a frequent guest. Between 2016 and 2017, she was part of the 8 Out of 10 Cats Team, as well as a participant on the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. Her parents are Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her younger sister, was born. The only ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. Bea's surname is in honour of her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born the 16th of March, 1984 in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine veterinarian who committed suicide when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how her father died until after she reached the age of thirteen. Her stage name Bea was in tribute to her father. Bea wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017, about her experience with suicide. Bea, along with her older sister Sinead and her sister Sinead, were brought up in the home of Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. She and her family loved racing, horses and the racing industry. Bea began her career as a tourist guide for the Irish National Stud. But she quickly realized that her love was acting, not racing.
